MARISSA FARNESI
Marissa was born & raised in the sunny city of Fresno, California. She has been teaching for the past 7 years, primarily as a second-grade teacher, as well as at the college level. Marissa holds a master's degree in Reading & Language, though recently took a year & a half off from teaching to live in Mississippi with her husband, who is in the military. Marissa & her husband are now back in Fresno & she’s eager to continue making a difference in children's education.
Fresno is a special place for Marissa. She loves the community & the passion behind it making her hometown a wonderful place to live. All of her family is from Fresno & they were fortunate to grow up together & still live close.. Marissa finds that the local restaurants & shops are what give Fresno its heartbeat & make it unique. Sounds like Fres(YES)!
Marissa's current passion project, in addition to working with LINK x LOU®, is teaching teachers. She is currently coaching & guiding teachers who are pursuing their master's degree in Reading & Language, sharing insights & modeling techniques to help them strengthen their practice.
Marissa is the proud owner of a one-year-old Bernedoodle named Daisy, who keeps her active by going on walks & visiting the park. Marissa enjoys taking Pilates & spin classes, loves going out to eat, & wandering around her local Target. Marissa identifies her spirit animal as a puppy, as both share short bursts of energy, are passionate, & have a need to stay busy & in motion until they suddenly crash & need a nap. Plus, both are food & treat-driven!
