Mel was born and raised in Neenah, WI. After graduating from UW-Madison with a master’s in marketing (Go Badgers!), Mel began her career in Milwaukee and currently works as a retail buyer for Kohls. Milwaukee’s delicious and diverse food scene is one of her favorite parts of living in the city. Mel has a vision of building a community of female entrepreneurs in the Milwaukee/Chicago area. She is an avid outdoorswoman regardless of the season. In the summer, she can be found on a lake or playing golf. During the winter, Mel skis whenever she gets the chance. Mel’s spirit animal is a fox because she’s clever, cunning, loves to sleep and be around others.
